All I Need Is Some Sunshine In My Life
This song was in Black Snake Moan. The melody is beautiful and I've listened to it enough since watching the movie to eliminate any associations with Samuel L. Jackson tying Christina Ricci to a radiator that it might have.
It's from a gospel compilation put out on Chalice, an imprint of Stax Records (Otis Redding's label!) that folded. A record store clerk once told me that he could special order the CD from England for $300. Thanks but no thanks!
Very hard-to-find record. I hope to come across it a church bazaar one day for $1.
